The Odd Flower is a technology and marketing brand disrupting the ‘traditional’ UK flower industry, worth an estimated £2.2 billion.
Launched in November 2018 by Alison Moran and creative director Clare Fogarty, the company’s business is driven by a digital platform, which generates a high margin revenue through a subscription model. We deliver fresh, seasonal flowers to people’s homes across the UK every month.
The company has generated over 600 customers and to date has delivered over 1,500 boxes at an average of three orders per customer. We are environmentally conscious, have a growing celebrity base, an excellent review rating and have achieved amazing press coverage and now it is time to scale.
We plan on building on from our start-up foundations by raising £500,000. We have partnered with fintech company Envestors to support the raise and have been accredited by the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS), a government scheme that provides a range of tax reliefs to investors.
The funding will boost our determined efforts to grab market share through strategic marketing and sales activities. It will also be used to improve the tech and operations side of the business.
We’re passionate about what we do, determined in taking The Odd Flower business to new heights and look forward to working with investors that share our ambition for success.
